Mohit Tiwari

Mohit founded Arth Legis & Co. after practising at DMD Advocates, Mumbai, where he worked on matters before the Supreme Court of India, the Bombay High Court and various tribunals.

His practice covers commercial and constitutional litigation, arbitration, admiralty and regulatory work. He has acted in matters with proceedings running in parallel outside India, and in disputes where the commercial documentation and the litigation had to be handled together rather than in sequence.

He drafts and appears in English and Hindi, and reads Marathi.

Approach

Mohit's preference is to establish early what the matter is actually about — which is often narrower than the pleadings suggest — and to run it on that footing. Where a case is weak he says so at the outset rather than at the appellate stage.
