Legal professional privilege attaches once we are engaged, not before. Please keep the first message to what the matter is about, and hold confidential material back until we confirm in writing that we can act.

We check conflicts before we discuss merits
Name the parties on both sides. If we are conflicted we will tell you straight away, and we will not have taken in anything we should not have.

Limitation runs whether or not you have a lawyer
If a period is close to expiry, say so at the start. Some remedies are lost by a matter of days and cannot be revived.
